About Egans Guesthouse
Egans Guesthouse is an elegant terrace of Edwardian houses situated in a quiet residential area but only 2 kilometres from the city centre where you will find Trinity College, Christ Church Cathedral, Connolly Station, Heuston Station, the car ferry, GPO, Dublin Castle, National Gallery, Guinness Brewery, Kilmainham Jail, Four Courts, O'Connell Street, Dublin Port, Customs House and IFSC.Daniel O' Connell is buried nearby in Glasnevin cemetery and visitor centre.
We are only a stroll away from the world famous Botanical Gardens and two Kilometres from Phoenix Park (the largest city park in Europe where you will also find Dublin Zoo). Just 10 Kilometres to Dublin Airport (direct bus route) or 15 minutes by taxi.

French and Spanish spoken by some reception staff.
Food can be ordered in by reception staff and service provided for €5.

Directions from the Airport by Bus to Egans Guesthouse. Bus Numbers 41/A/B/C : All buses from the Airport pass along the same route. The stop for Egans is on Drumcondra road, just before the Railway Bridge. Directly across from this stop is St. Alphonsus Road; turn right at the second roundabout and you will be on Iona Park and Egans is on your left.
Directions from the Airport by Car to Egans Guesthouse. Follow directions for the City Centre. After about 5 miles prepare to turn right just before the Railway Bridge (over the road). This is St. Alphonsus Road. Turn right at the second roundabout and you will be on Iona Park and Egans is on your left.
Directions from the City Centre by Bus to Egans Guesthouse; Bus Numbers 13, 19, 19A, 40, 40A : From O'Connell Street, going to the north of the city, take the above buses to Prospect Way at Harts corner just after the Spar shop. From the bus stop cross over to the traffic island and turn left onto Iona Road (opposite the Botanic House Pub).The 1st turn left will take you onto Iona Park and we are on your left.
Directions from the City Centre by Car to Egans Guesthouse; Continue to the end of O'Connell St. in a northerly direction i.e. going in airport direction. Follow the traffic around the bottom of Parnell Square and turn right up the hill. Turn right againat the first main junction. Take the first turn left after the 7th set of traffic lights, (St Alphonsus Road, just after the railway bridge), then turn right at the second roundabout and you will be on Iona Park and Egans is on your left.
Directions from the Ferry Port by Car to Egans Guesthouse; Follow the signs for the Airport. On Drumcondra Road take the first left after going under the Railway Bridge, then turn right at the second roundabout and you will be on Iona Park and Egans is on your left.

Croke Park for International Football and Rugby matches as well as Gaelic Football and Hurling is just 1 Kilometer away. Many concerts are also held here.The O2 Arena (formally The Point Depot) is only 3 Kms away The main business event venue is at the RDS Grounds, just 6 Kms away. Major Championship Golf Courses like Portmarnock Links, Royal Dublin and St. Margaret's are just 30 minutes away. 2 Kilometers to Dublin's City Centre & Temple Bar (direct bus route). Buses run every 5 or 10 minutes to and from the City Centre. Last bus is at 11.30pm. After that, the Night–Link bus services are available until 4am and depart every half an hour from Westmoreland St (just south of the River Liffey). Taxis also available from almost anywhere and some take up to 8 people.
